My work is guided by a deep respect for those who safeguard sacred heritage.
I am particularly inspired by the Friends of Friendless Churches, who preserve disused church buildings, and Caring for God’s Acre, who protect the rich natural and cultural life of churchyards.
Their work affirms that these places — whether roofed or roofless, manicured or wild — still hold meaning. Through art, I hope to echo that care: to offer new ways of seeing the quiet beauty, humour, and humanity embedded in sacred spaces.re
